MINUTES OF DIRECTORS MEETING – February 13, 2013

AGENDA ITEM:

1. Richard (Dick) Nelson and Beverley Burrell
• The CBPOA Directors acknowledged the passing of two very close friends to CBPOA and the community at large. Both made extensive contributions to the Association and their time and efforts are very much appreciated and remembered by all.

2. Treasurer’s Report

3. Disaster Preparedness Committee - Update
Speaker – Margot Thomson
• As the Disaster Preparedness Committee has disbanded and will no longer be meeting as a formal group, Margot Thomson presented to the Directors one remaining task that they felt would be important to pursue to better prepare the community in the event of a disaster. The task would be the making and distribution of a Personal Emergency Response card that would be posted in all homes and would be a reference in the event of an emergency. Margot has provided all of the necessary information that would be on the card. The task will be presented to the membership at the March 2013 Quarterly General Meeting. We encourage any individual interested in completing this very important task to contact any of the Directors.

The Directors would like to thank Margot for all of her work on the above item as well as the many individuals who participated on the Disaster Preparedness Committee. Their time and all of their hard work has only better prepared the Community of Crescent Beach in the event of an emergency and it is appreciated.

4. Miscellaneous :

• There was much discussion about the many items becoming of interest in our community. These include:

- community safety
- trains
- air quality
- emergency access
- slope stability
- general construction and maintenance of the community
- noise

Above all, the CBPOA Directors are most interested in the improved safety and lifestyle of the community and are open to any discussions that will provide that to all.
