MINUTES OF DIRECTORS MEETING – January 16, 2013

AGENDA ITEM:

1. Treasurer’s Report
Speaker – Malcolm Stewart
Malcolm updated the directors on the financial status of the CBPOA as of Jan. 2013.

2. Volunteer Recognition Event
Art and Bruce will discuss further and get back to the group

3. General Business
• Replacement of “Crescent Beach” sign at Sullivan and Beacher. Tim Neufeld, from the City of Surrey, shared their proposed design with Erik Seiz. Looking to replace in the near future.

• Discussed inviting a representative from the City of Surrey to do a “walk-around” in Crescent Beach to address any areas of concern with regards to safety, environment, etc.

• Traffic Calming for Bayview – will commence in the Spring 2013 with the repaving and humps on Bayview .

4. CBPOA Initiatives for 2013

• Population Growth – with exceptional growth of the City of Surrey expected, how will this impact the community of Crescent Beach. Traffic, parking, crowds etc.

• Whistle Cessation

• Drainage and Roadway Construction

• Traffic Calming – further initiatives within the community

• Shore erosion

• Community Safety

• Railway Safety – including the ongoing “underpass” discussion.

5. Camp Alexander OPEN HOUSE – January 15, 2013

Art VanWart attended the open house as a representative of the CBPOA.
